WHAT ARE THE JUDGES LOOKING FOR?

Competitors will be judged on symmetry, muscle development and tone, and overall stage presence and posing. For Figure Athletic the judges will be looking for larger degree of muscularity with no extreme striations visible. Judges will require the Figure Athletic competitors to have tighter condition compared to Figure Toned competitors. Hair, make-up, suit, jewellery and tan should all complement the competitor’s figure overall.

KEY INFORMATION

  • Open to all ages.
  • Always go for a bikini that best suits you. Look at the colour, style and materiel. Always remember – your physique is on show, don’t let the bikini outshine you.
  • No G-strings or thongs allowed please. You will be scored down if this is the case.
  • No props or gum are permitted on stage.
  • Lying on the floor is prohibited.
  • No bumping or shoving. Anyone involved in any aggressive behaviour will be disqualified.
  • Competitor numbers to be worn on the left hand-side of your bottoms.

POSING RULES

Round 1: I Walk

You will perform 1 pose at the first point followed by 4 poses at the final point which will be closest to the judges in the best light. YOU MUST only do 4 poses. If you exceed this number you will be told to return to the line-up. You can do any poses you wish. You can be creative as you like.

Round 2: Comparisons (Quarter Turns)

Posing – Quarter Turns: 

• Face Front

-Facing forward, head up and smiling

-Shoulders even, chest out, do not hunch over 

-Abdominal muscles should remain tight

-Arms to your sides being sure not to touch the sides 

-Lats flared

-Feet together, toes facing the judges

-Do not lock knees

• Quarter Turn Facing Right

-Head and hips should be facing side stage

-Position feet together or with one slightly in front of the other

-With arms at sides and hands hanging freely, twist torso slightly allowing upper body to face the judges

• Rear Pose

-Feet together

-Arms at your sides just as in front pose

-Shoulders should be lifted with lats flared wide

-Glutes should be flexed

-Competitors with long hair should brush their hair to one side to ensure their back is visible to the judges

• Quarter Turn Facing Left

-Head and hips should be facing side stage

-Position feet together or with one slightly in front of the other

-With arms at sides and hands hanging freely, twist torso slightly allowing upper body to face the judges

EXTRA POSE’S: Judges can request additional poses. See below the additional pose’s:

– Front open bicep

– Rear open bicep

– Side pose favourite tricep shot

Round 3: Routine (60 seconds)

Round 4: 30 Seconds Pose Down (if requested by judges)
